Captain Udon... SANJOU!!


In tribute to all my Nihongo III buddies. I've been meaning to push this out earlier, but oh well.

It's Captain Udon, a character created by a character on the movie Udon (released in Japan only). Being a failed comedian in America, Kosuke returns to Japan to make up for it. He begins to work for a magazine company that doesn't quite make enough for such a small town. Eventually, Kosuke jump starts the company by having reviews of obscure Udon shops in Japan.

After the company begins to boom, people of Japan begin to go on "Udon Pilgrimages". Ultimately, Udon is declared the SOURU FUUDDO ("Soul Food") of Japan.

In a relatively short dream sequence (I mean, barely even 5 minutes), Kosuke imagines himself as a character he created: Captain Udon. It was the most awesomest (yeah, I said MOST AWESOMEST) scene ever.

Captain Udon is the bringer of Udon Justice. Udon drug dealings are going underground, and guess who comes to save the day? Captain friggin' Udon. He pops out of no where and turns the enemy (this shady Japanese guy with a top hat and shades, accompanied by a suit) into SASHIMI.

Wait, it's not over yet. The enemy turns into this big inflatable urchin(?) and then attempts to defeat Captain Udon.

But Captain Udon came prepared. He activates his super mode by declaring "REV HER UP!" and almost instantaneously, all of his body parts begin to light up and glow. At this point, there is no number that can describe his awesome epic power level. He's ready to destroy everything in his path.

He starts with his "TWO BOWL PUNCH!" causing a massive dense cloud of energy form before him, and smashing it down, releasing blasts of energy into the inflated sea urchin. Not done yet, Captain Udon moves on to his finisher...

"HIGH FIBER KICK!!!!" In almost homage to the classic "RIDER KICK" of Kamen Rider, Captain Udon delivers a huge Soccer like kick to the remaining ball of energy. More epic than Kamen Rider's "Rider Kick", the Sea Urchin virtually EXPLODES in pure AWESOMENESS.

Captain Udon lands on his feet. Of course, after he poses, the enemy explodes behind him. Classic.
